Q: How does the system work?

A: When you book a package, you'll get a confirmation from the Hero assigned to your task, and the time they are going to show up. When it is time for them to begin their job, you'll get another notification that they have started. You'll get one last notification after the job is complete, asking to review the helper.

 

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel the job without penalty up to 2 hours prior to the booking start time.  After that you are liable for the cost of the job, as we are unable to book the assigned helper to other work.

 

Q: Do I need to tip helpers?

A: No, there is no need to tip, we price our packages so that we can pay our helpers a fair wage.

 

Q: Where is Hero available?

A: Launched in November 2014, we cover most of Seattle. Enter your zipcode into our app or contact us to see if we're in your area, and be sure to check back frequently as we're growing quickly!

 

Q: What if something goes wrong?

A: You're covered. We have $1M of theft, $1M of general liability, and $1M auto liability coverage.

 

Q: How do monthly memberships work?

Credits roll over for up to 9 months while you are a paying member. Upon membership cancellation, credits expire in 20 days.

 

If you accumulate more than 35 credits, we automatically switch you to Bronze. If after another 2 months of Bronze (3 months total) you haven’t booked anything, we automatically cancel your membership to avoid accumulating any more credits. You can use your vacation pause as well to extend a non-booking period for up to 5 months without cancellation if needed.

 

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing, but will never adjust your price without letting you know.

We are looking for exceptional motivated individuals with the ability to learn quickly. We welcome applicants from diverse educational backgrounds.

 

You will be doing a variety of tasks, such as deliveries, kitchen and bathroom refreshes, yard cleanups, shopping, and other household services.  You have the flexibility to create your own schedule (min 15 hrs/wk).

 

We are also hiring for professional house cleaners, handymen/women, and landscapers.  Please contact us if you have pro-level experience in any of these areas.

 

For all roles:

•  Must have a car and an iPhone.

•  Must be 21 or older and live in Seattle proper or the East side (Kirkland, Bellevue or Redmond).

•  We run an extensive background check.
